In light of the recent news that season 5 of Merlin will be its last, a series of statements from the cast of the show reacting to the big announcement have been released.
Colin Morgan who plays Merlin reminisced on the five year journey on CultBox, saying that he believes the show, “has run its natural course.”
“I know this is the end, and I know this is goodbye, but thank you for being there on the journey with us because it has been a lot of fun!” said Morgan.
Bradley James, who plays King Arthur, reminisced on the fond memories he had filming, the wonderful friends he’s made along the way, and the “devoted fan base who made the show a unique, surreal and special experience.”
“My words won’t do justice to the honor of being King Arthur so I shall just say that it has been an exceptional one and that knowing the show has been a part of so many people’s lives, has been humbling.” said James.
Merlin will conclude with a two-part series finale this Christmas with what promises to be a dramatic conclusion to the television series.
